Redeem and earn Miles with Alitalia

Italy's largest airline operates flights to over 20 Italian destinations and more than 70 destinations worldwide in 44 countries.

Alitalia is Italy's largest airline and has one of the world's most modern and efficient fleets, with an average age of seven years old.

Together with Air France-KLM and Delta Airlines, Alitalia forms part of the world's largest transatlantic flight joint agreement. Thanks to this joint agreement, Air France-KLM, Delta Airlines and Alitalia offer their customers a vast network of routes, greater flight frequency, competitive rates, and standardised services on all transatlantic flights.

 

Alitalia airline will cease operations on October 14th, 2021 and as of this date:

  • There are no Alitalia flights.
  • Earning Miles on Alitalia is not possible.
  • Miles pending to be scored for flights on Alitalia made until October 14th, 2021 will be scored in the customers' SUMA account.
  • Miles cannot be redeemed on Alitalia.

Earning Miles on Alitalia flights

Miles are earned based on the distance in Miles between the points of departure and destination. The percentage of Miles credited to your Air Europa SUMA account depends on your selected ticket booking class:

Level Bonus:

The card level bonus is applied by multiplying this percentage by the number of Base Miles (excluding any bonuses or promotions).

Earning Miles on Air Europa flights operated by Alitalia

Miles are earned for the ticket amount including the basic rate + fuel surcharge.
 

For tickets purchased with the Air Europa marketing code (UX), customers can earn Miles in accordance with the following terms and conditions:

  • The resulting figure is rounded up.
  • When a purchase is made in a different currency, Miles are allocated in euros or the equivalent value on the transaction date. For airfare purchases in dollars and pounds sterling, the same ratios will be applied as for euros. 
  • Applicable only to the published rate and the fuel charge. All other fees and charges (e.g., management fees) are excluded.

  • The reservation of these tickets must be made at the Air Europa SUMA Call Center
  • Full payment of the ticket with SUMA Miles
  • Non-refundable tickets
