Special cabin baggage

Do you want to carry your luggage in the cabin but it exceeds the maximum size or weight for transport as hand luggage? We'll tell you how.

Characteristics

  • When the object does not fit in the overhead compartments or under the seat due to its size or weight, and the passenger wants to carry it with them, it must be transported on one or more seats.
  • The cost of the seat will be the price of the ticket available at the time of purchase without airport tax.
  • Special baggage cannot exceed 75 kg (165 lb) per reserved seat, nor may it exceed volume restrictions, as it is limited by the type of aircraft operating on these routes. If it exceeds the weight dimensions, the baggage must travel in the hold.
  • Baggage must be wrapped in such a way that it can be secured to the seat and will permit the seat in front to recline.
  • It must never be placed in the emergency exit row.
  • Passengers who request the use of one or more seats for cabin baggage (CBBG) are not entitled to additional baggage allowance for the additional seat purchased; in accordance with Resolution 720a of IATA, Annex C.
  • To purchase it, contact our Customer Service Department.
