Sports and special baggage

Fishing equipment consists of two rods, one reel, one net for holding fish, one pair of fishing boots and one fishing gear box.

The maximum linear size is 250 cm*

Diving equipment consists of one diving suit, vest, socks, mask, footwear, torch, nets, knife, one empty oxygen bottle and one regulator.
To be accepted, you must:

• Present the empty compressed air bottle at check-in.
• Remove the bulb from the torch and pack it separately. It can only be transported as hand luggage.

Conditions of carriage for arms and munitions:

• The weapon must be unloaded.
• Ammunition must be housed in a box or case separately from the weapon. Maximum allowed 5 kg.
• They will be transported in the hold of the aeroplane.
• At the check-in desk:
  • You must show an authorisation in your name received from the Civil Guard weapons inspection point.
  • You will hand over the gun and ammunition cases to be sealed, along with the baggage to be checked.
  • The relevant fee can be paid at any bank branch in the airport.
  • The original copy will remain with you and the copy will be stored in the luggage or container containing the fire weapon.
• Residents of Spain must present:
  • DNI or passport
  • Weapons licence
  • Weapon ownership paperwork
  • Plane ticket
• Residents of the EU or in transit must present:
  • European firearms card if travelling to EU member states or countries that have signed the EFTA (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and the Principality of Liechtenstein).
• Foreigner from outside the EU:
  • Passport
  • Special authorisation issued upon entry into Spain
  • Plane ticket
• If your destination is a country outside the EU, find out more at the Spanish Embassy or Consulate in that country about the local laws governing the possession, travel with and use of firearms.

This equipment can include:

Windsurfing: One surfboard, mast, sail, and boom. 
Surfing: One surfboard.
Kitesurfing: A kite or parachute, a board and a bar.

Bicycles with more than one seat or a motor are not accepted.
All bicycles will be transported individually (including bike trailers or accessories of a similar size).
In order to be accepted, the passenger must present the bicycle at check-in with:

• The handlebar turned lengthways.
• Pedals removed.
• Extendible parts removed or covered.
• Tyres deflated (front wheel removed and attached to the frame).
• Suitably packaged in a bag or box.
• Maximum dimensions 160 x 100 x 25cm or 175 x 100 x 20cm (length x width x height).

Alpine skiing: one pair of skis, poles and ski boots.
Snowboarding: one board and a pair of boots.
Water skiing: one pair of standard or slalom water skis.

Hang gliding equipment must be checked as special baggage.

Powered paragliders are not allowed.

 One duffel bag per passenger containing two hockey or lacrosse sticks held together.

The rowing equipment contains paddles or oars for kayaking.
