Yes, if your booking includes several flight segments and you want to bid, you can do so on each of the eligible flights you are interested in.

If you have booked a ticket with Air Europa, you can make a bid via the invitation email. To do this, your email address must be correctly indicated in the booking; or, you can also make a bid via the website where you will need to enter your credit card details (only the amount of the bid will be charged if your bid is successful): https://www.aireuropa.com/es/es/aea/aexperience/servicios.html The bid affects all passengers included in the booking and all passengers on the booking must be checked in on the flight at the time of accepting the bid.

The available seats will be assigned once the bid has been confirmed, so we cannot ensure they are adjacent, likewise we cannot ensure that the seating preference (window, aisle) can be respected.

If you have made a bid for a seat upgrade and your bid is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email between 24 and five and a half hours before the flight departs. Remember that you must reprint your boarding card to show the new seat booking.

You can modify or cancel your bid at any time provided that it has not been accepted by Air Europa.

No, the seat upgrade does not generate miles.

No, any service prior to the bid confirmation will be cancelled and non-refundable.

The upgrade bid can only be refunded if:

• The flight segment is cancelled by Air Europa and Air Europa cannot rebook its upgraded passengers on an alternative flight with seats of the same category.

• A delayed flight (connecting tickets) causes the passenger to miss their connection and Air Europa cannot rebook passengers with upgraded tickets on an alternative flight with seats in the same category.

Air Europa cannot accommodate passengers with seats corresponding to the winning bid due to operational or safety reasons that result in these category of seats not being available.

• In the event that, for any reason, a change of equipment occurs that involves the flight being operated by an airplane with seats of different characteristics to those of the accepted bids, passengers will travel as appropriate according to their original booking and the amount of the bid will be reimbursed (upon request from the passenger to: plusgrade@aireuropa.com with all the relevant documentation (booking code, boarding cards).

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions only constitute the comprehensive agreement between you and Air Europa, and replace any other agreement or prior agreement related to the service to make a bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat, hereinafter the AIR EUROPA UPGRADE program.

Air Europa reserves the right to amend and change these terms and conditions at any time in its sole discretion. However, no cancellation, modification or change will affect any bids that have already been accepted.

When using the Air Europa Upgrade Program, you are accepting these terms and conditions.

2. Definitions

Air Europa Upgrade Program: service that allows the passenger to make an Offer, by means of a bid, for an upgrade to Business or Premium class, or an XL seat.

Air Europa: Air Europa Líneas Aéreas, S.A.U.

Passenger: anyone who has purchased a ticket to travel with Air Europa.

Elegible Passenger: Person who has been invited or has the option to bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat.

Invitation: Invitation sent by Air Europa to an eligible passenger to make a Bid.

Offer (bid): Amount of money that an eligible passenger has offered to pay for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or an XL seat of all passengers included in the original booking to travel in Business or Premium class and/or XL seat. In other words, the bid affects all passengers included in the original booking.

Original booking: purchased ticket booking that includes the flight segments reserved by the passenger who has received an invitation to bid for an Upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat.

Upgraded Booking: flight segment of the booking that has been awarded the upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat, once the Bid has been accepted by Air Europa.

3. Invitations to bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat

Not all bookings are eligible for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat. Air Europa reserves the right to determine eligibility at its discretion.

The bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat is per flight segment and does not apply to connecting flights. Each eligible flight segment must be bid on separately.

The bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat is subject to availability and not all of the seats on a flight may be available for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat. Due to operational purposes or other reasons, it may be possible that some seats are left unoccupied in the cabin.

Alternatively, we can send you an invitation to make a bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat.

To receive an invitation, the eligible passenger must ensure that their email address is included correctly in their booking.

For security reasons, some passengers will not be able to occupy an XL seat when they are located at an emergency exit. These seats may not be occupied by passengers in which, among other security reasons, one of the following circumstances are present: not being over 15 years old, not understanding Spanish or English, having mobility problems or not being able to reach or activate the emergency exit door

4. How to bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat

The bid also applies to all the passengers included in the original booking. When making a Bid, you are confirming that you have permission to manage this procedure for all other passengers included in the original booking.

You can make, modify or cancel a Bid that has not been confirmed from the moment you have been selected as eligible for up to six hours before the scheduled flight departure time or until Air Europa confirms and accepts the Bid.

5. Acceptance of a bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat

Air Europa is not obliged to accept any Bid. The acceptance of a Bid is at the airline's discretion.

Payment for an upgrade to Business or Premium class and/or XL seat will be made once the Bid has been accepted by Air Europa. If the payment cannot be made, the upgrade will not be processed to Business or Premium class or an XL seat.

Air Europa will endeavor to offer some of the benefits associated to Business or Premium Economy class, as applicable, but it cannot guarantee that the passenger on the “upgraded booking to Business or Premium class” will receive all the benefits in full. The terms and conditions will be governed separately from the benefits and inclusions of the Business Class or the Premium rate.

Passengers who have upgraded to Business or Premium class will not be entitled to an additional baggage allowance. The baggage allowance of the original economy class ticket will be applied.

Any special requirements relating to the upgraded booking seat, including meal and seat requests, inserted into the original booking are not guaranteed for such booking and are not refundable. Only rights contracted in the original booking for meal requests are guaranteed.

Once the Bid has been accepted, any seat selection purchased in advance will be void, without the passenger being entitled to a refund of the fee they have paid for this selection.

Air Europa cannot guarantee that the seat (window or aisle) is maintained if a seat was available in the original booking. In this case, it will depend on the availability of the new Business or Premium class or XL seat.

Bookings upgraded to Business or Premium class or XL seats will not be given similar seats as those on the original booking.

The seat selection is only made available at check-in and Air Europa cannot guarantee passengers' seating preference and passengers on the same booking may not be seated together, as this will depend on availability.

It is imperative that you have checked-in for your original booking in advance and that, subsequently, when your bid has been accepted and confirmed by Air Europa, you can check-in again to get the boarding card with your new allocated seat.

6. Cancellations and reimbursements

You can cancel a bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class or XL seat that has not been confirmed at any time before Air Europa accepts the upgrade bid for the original booking.

Once your bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class or to an XL seat has been accepted, you will not be able to receive a refund, transfer or change (eg.: change the date, flight or destination).

The bid for an upgrade to Business or Premium class or to an XL seat can only be refunded if:

• The flight segment is cancelled by Air Europa and Air Europa cannot rebook its upgraded passengers on an alternative flight in Business or Premium class and/or XL seat, as the case may be.

• A delayed flight (connecting tickets) causes the passenger to miss their connection and Air Europa cannot rebook passengers with upgraded tickets on an alternative flight in Business or Premium class and/or XL seat, as the case may be.

Air Europa cannot accommodate passengers with an upgraded booking in Business class due to operational or safety reasons that result in Business or Premium class and/or XL seats not being available.

• In the event that, for any reason, a change of equipment occurs that involves the flight being operated by an airplane with Business class, in the case of bids for an upgrade to Premium, or an airplane with Premium class, in the case of bids for an upgrade to Business class, the bids accepted by the airline to travel in Premium class (in the first case) or in Business class (in the second case) will be reimbursed and passengers will travel in accordance with their original booking.

In these cases, the passenger will only be entitled to the reimbursement of the upgrade bid under the Consumer Law of the Government of Spain.

You must save all relevant documentation (including boarding cards, tickets) to request the reimbursement.

The request for the refund of a bid will be made via the Air Europa Call Center by email to: plusgrade@aireuropa.com. All requests must be sent within 12 months of the departure of the flight with the upgraded booking.
